About MEDLAB at Imsan
Brief History
MedLab Aruba was originally established in 1991 by a group of healthcare professionals to offer a variety of specialized clinical tests not previously available locally. It later became an AZV‑approved provider since 2001.
Integration with ImSan
Starting January 2022, MedLab’s main lab began functioning as the primary laboratory for the Dr. Rudy Engelbrecht Hospital (ImSan) in San Nicolaas. it’s operated as a 24/7 central diagnostic hub at ImSan, handling hematology, chemistry, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, point‑of‑care, stool, urine tests—offering flexible testing to meet the needs of the community.
